Why counselling?

Are you afraid of examinations? Would you likt to activate your personal resources? Do you struggle to take decisions? Are you troubled by conflicts with your parents, partner or close friends? Would you like to improve your self-management? Are you showing symptoms of stress or feel that your mental health is deteriorating? Are you anxious or in a stat of crisis ... or do you just have a brief question?

Professional psychological support aims to help you better cope with any worries and concerns that may occur during your studies.

We offer short term support

We offer appointments at fairly short notice, as a rule within 10 working days after receiving your request. Appointments can be scheduled by telephone or email.

We are available Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00. We are open during the spring and autumn breaks as well as during non-teaching periods.

Counselling is free of charge and available to all HSG students. Consultations last about 50 minutes and take place either in person or online (via an encrypted online tool).

Solution orientation

We assist you in resolving all kinds of problems: examination anxiety, motivation and learning difficulties, fear of failure, personal and family issues, decision difficulties, etc.

If required, we will also help you find a suitable psychotherapist.

Our consultations are strictly confidential.

If you have any questions about access arrangements and special needs (e.g. due to a disability, chronic illness or mental crisis), you may also contact the University’s Special Needs Centre.
