The HSG Care Team offers members of the University of St.Gallen timely support after potentially traumatic events, such as serious accidents, sudden deaths, or boundary violations. Psychologists and chaplains provide psychological first aid for this purpose and accompany those affected in processing the events or help shape and cope with complex mourning processes.
The HSG Care Team is secondary to the public emergency organizations. In an acute emergency, it is therefore crucial that you contact one of the following services:
- Police: 117
- Fire department: 118
- Ambulance: 114
If you need additional assistance during an incident, the HSG Security Team can be reached 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via the internal emergency number 3333 (from outside 071 224 33 33).
Psychological First Aid
Please inform the HSG Care Team about critical events, especially if you or people you know require Psychological First Aid. We will then reach out to the affected persons as soon as possible.

Bereavement Notification
In the event of the death of an HSG member (student or employee), the HSG Care Team will take care of the internal HSG communication and ensure that all relevant persons are informed and involved.
If you would like to inform the university about the death of a HSG member, a short message to the e-mail below with your contact information is sufficient.
